This is the same street!

Michel, this is the same street that is in the other picture I showed you but this was taken in 1908!

When I look out my window, sometimes I stop and think that wow, there used to be elephants walking up the street over there.   ha!

The picture above was taken from the opposite direction that the one I showed you in my building was taken.

The one with my building in it was taken facing the east and this picture was taken facing the west.

Don' t you think Debi yhe street was more living with more shops than nowadays ? I know, there was a circus parade but there were numerous shops ans no many cars . But I see the rails track of a tramway .I knew them in the towns in France just after the war II in the years 50's

Hi Michel,

Yes, I do think that there were many more shops back then than there is now.

I remember when we used to come into town in the 1960's and 1970's and there were many, many shops here.

Now we have 2 Dollar stores, drug stores, grocery stores and we do have Walmart that is out of town about two miles or so.

Still, not like it used to be in the old days and I miss that!

Yes, the rails track is for a trolley that used to go through here [I am not sure if it is the same thing as a tramway or not but I think it probably is!]

Please give my love to Janine.
